I went through the links today and wanted to share some of what I saw (all pictures belong to the blog owners, not me.)
That Girl, That Quilt explained her inpiration and process for this beauty.
Don't you love the mix of sizes and of old and new?
Little Bluebell showed off her design door.
Her daughter got it right when she stuck a "terrific!" sticker up there.
Quilt It experimented with big quilting stitches. Amazing!
Live a Colorful Life is inspired by the colors in her magazines.
Isn't that great? I know I have random catalog pages and magazine covers that I have saved because the colors are so lovely.
Kimberly White Design has been exploring her own process. Only one quilt at a time? I would die!
Crazy Mom Quilts shares some thoughts on learning to applique: "...don't worry about the rest, that all comes with time."
Milky Robot has been slowly stitching up her "Good and Evil" quilt.
Isn't this insane? I love the mix of fabrics and this use of a very traditional quilt block.
She explains some of her color inspirations here.
You know what I love? has been stitching up squares and musing over changing them.
And also taking pictures of vans with cool designs.
I could go on, but when would I sleep?

I knew this idea would catch on!! I'm seeing it all over blogland and am really enjoying seeing all the detailed posts :0)

so lovely! :) Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration to start looking through the process pledgers ... and for the idea in the first place! I was honored that you recognized me in the post! Thanks! And about only one at a time (I do have other quilts swirling around in my brain and I actually have fabric on the way for a quilt I want to start) =)
ReplyDeleteRossie, you have started something good, here...
ReplyDelete; )
Thank you for the great parade!
It's nice to there are so many of us who have taken the pledge. Do you plan to post a list?
ReplyDeleteThe list is in the original post. : )
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! I love the spirit of sharing that you have encouraged!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving seeing all the process posts :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is the deal with the blogger comments? Some people can leave me comments and others can't. And on the Portland Modern Quilt Guild blog for one post, as soon as I replied to someone's comment, it disappeared from the comments. Is it fixed now? I thought I was the only one and had done something wrong. And I couldn't seem to get any help from Blogger.
I love that you came up with the process pledge! It's really changed the way I blog. I used to think I could only blog if I had something finished, but now I'm able to share the process and get positive feedback and new ideas.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that the pledge list is public. I get lost in all those awesome blogs for hours :)
(if this is a duplicate comment, i'm sorry :) i tried to post a minute ago and seemed to lose it)
Nothing like chiming in over a month later :) I just joined the pledge yesterday and did my first "process" post today. I only have 4 followers so I doubt I'll get much input--but I think writing it down helped in itself. I already have a new thought.
